Shabeer Ahmed Rizvi"s family should be paid Compensation

Human right commission South Asia has demanded from the Government of Sweden to pay Compensation to the family of Shabeer Ahmed Rizvi. According to the commission Rizvi was a member of MQM Mohajir Qaumi Movement a political party, who has applied for political asylum in Sweden. With out giving any proper attention or due process required by Swedish Law Rizvi was arrested and send back to Pakistan under police arrest. In Pakistan Rizvi was murdered because of his political association with MQM Mohajir Qaumi Movement. In Pakistan previously in last two years 130 members of MQM Mohahir Qaumi Movement had been killed. All of his office bearers had been arrested and are in different jails in Pakistan.

The subject of human right has given rise to much debate in this country. No so long ago, during the dark days of terror, Pakistan was blacklisted by the international community as human rights were almost non-existent. Extra judicial killing were rampant. Torture was an everyday occurrence. Abduction were all too common.

Mohajir Qaumi Movement`s overseas organizer Sohail Akhtar has given a statement in which he accuses the Government of Sweden to responsible of Shabeer Ahmed Rizvi’s murder. In his statement he further gives detail, that when Rizvi was deported back to Pakistan, Sohail submitted documents to his lawyer Thomas Bodström who is now the Minister of Justice in Swedish Government. These documents show that there were many fictitious cases against Rizvi in Pakistani Courts. That Rizvi’s life is in danger in Pakistan because of his political association. Having all these documents provided to Thomas and Swedish government, he was still deported where in Pakistan he lost his life.
